Welcome to artforapurpose

Decorative and folk art painting are a delightful way of brightening up everyday life. This is a blog about how I am learning from the decorative painting greats and discovering my own style in applying art to objects around the house, from bags and boxes to key keepers and clocks. I get especially excited in the lead-up to Christmas, when the possibilities for folk art in Christmas decoration are amazing. Bear with my photography though - I haven't quite mastered that art form!
